Marilyn James
Marilyn James has worked in nearly every facet of show business. Born in Ohio, Marilyn started show business at an early age and was soon staring on TV shows such as “Cinderella and her Friends.”
After moving to Los Angeles she was soon discovered by Anita Mann who brought her to Las Vegas as a featured performer in her show “a.m. Blast from the Past.” During her run in “a.m. Blast from the Past” Marilyn won the prestigious Dramalogue award for Best Performance.
Marilyn then moved on to a featured role in “Enter the Night” at the Stardust Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. While performing in “Enter the Night” she was discovered by the producers of “Country Tonight.” Marilyn then joined “Country Tonight” and stayed through the show’s five year run at the Aladdin playing to sell-out crowds every week.
During her stay with “Country Tonight” Marilyn assisted in the hiring of performers as well as working with her fellow entertainers on stage presence and delivery.
As a multi-talented entertainer, producer / director, Marilyn has performed at most major Las Vegas venues with her band the Marilyn James Band. She was also involved with such shows as “Rock n Soul 60’s”, “Echoes of Woodstock” and “Ladies of the 80’s”.
